Breakfast Oats Porridge

Ayurvedic Breakfast Porridge is a delicious and nourishing way to start your day. Made with roasted oats, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, coconut shreds, raisins, majhul dates and cow's milk, this porridge is not only delicious, but also packed with health benefits.

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 cup of oats

  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder

  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder

  • 3 cloves

  • 1/4 cup coconut shreds

  • 1/4 cup raisins

  • 2 majhul dates (pitted and chopped)

  • 2 cups of water

  • 2 cups of organic cow's milk

  • 2 tsp of mix of roasted seeds (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a pot, roast the oats over medium heat until they are golden brown and fragrant.

  2. Add the cinnamon powder, cardamom powder, and cloves to the pot and stir well.

  3. Add the coconut shreds, raisins, and majhul dates to the pot and stir well.

  4. Add the water to the pot and bring it to a boil.

  5. Add the cow’s milk and bring it to a boil again.

  6. Reduce the heat to low and let the porridge simmer for about 10 minutes, or until it reaches your desired consistency.

  7. Sprinkle the roasted seeds on top. (optional)

  8. Serve the porridge hot and enjoy!
